About me
Hi! I’m Kylie, the owner and photographer of Summit and Sage Photography.
I’m a 4th-generation Idaho native with a love for the outdoors. When I’m not behind my camera, you’ll likely find me on the nearest paddleboard, fishing with my husband, hiking with my family, reading in my hammock, or rediscovering my love for skiing. I’m happily married to my high school sweetheart and together we share two incredible teenagers and four energetic dogs who keep life full of adventure—and plenty of chaos! I love to travel and don't do nearly enough, finding I have a serious case of wanderlust and am feeling determined to take some unforgettable family adventures before my kids fly the nest.
My journey into photography began during my freshman year of high school. While my family thrived on sports, I was searching for a passion of my own. My mom encouraged me to take an "Intro to Photography" class, and the moment I held a film camera, something clicked—literally and figuratively. That class ignited a spark that has only grown brighter with time. One day, I dream of building my own darkroom to reconnect with the magic of watching film come to life again.
In 2017, after years of honing my skills and transitioning to digital photography, I turned my passion into a career. Through it all, one thing has remained constant: my belief in the power of photography to preserve life’s most precious moments. Having experienced loss from a young age, I know how meaningful it is to freeze time and hold onto memories through photographs.
I specialize in working with couples, graduating seniors, expectant mothers, and families. My goal is to create an easygoing, enjoyable experience that allows your genuine connections to shine. Together, we’ll capture authentic images that tell your unique story—images you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
Let’s make something beautiful together!

I'll contact you via email to answer any questions, go over all the details and send over the booking documents. Once the nonrefundable retainer, questionnaire and signed contract are submitted I'll get your booking finalized on my calendar and we start planning!
Q: How long will it take to get my photos?
A: All edited images will be delivered in an online gallery via email within 10 days of the session.
Q: What happens if you get sick or injured and can't photograph my session?
A: If I am unable to photograph you for any reason you will be given the option to reschedule or to have a trusted, associate photographer there in my place. If the associate photographer is chosen I will still edit and deliver all images within our timeline.
Q: Do I receive copyright to my photos?
A: I do not release copyright without substantial commercial fees, HOWEVER all images come with full print rights meaning you can print your images where you please, but you cannot alter, sell or distribute for profit without consent from and credit to Summit & Sage Photography.
Q: What happens if I have an emergency or am sick and need to reschedule?
A: Don't stress, I fully understand life happens. I always appreciate as much notice as possible, but I'm happy to work with you and get your session rescheduled. If the need to reschedule becomes reoccurring, there will be a rescheduling fee of $50 before the new date will be reserved.
Q: How many photos will I receive?
A: That's dependent on the session you choose; Please look over the pricing to see what package works best for you. You will receive at least the minimum amount of photos listed with each session option, but I will deliver all quality images from the session. Most sessions average about 2-3 times the amount of minimum images listed however that does depend on client's cooperation and participation during the session.
Q: Do you offer payment plans?
A: I do offer payment plans and I'm happy to work with anyone, however all payments must be completed before the session. I also offer Afterpay for interested clients.
Q: Do you give out RAW files?
A: I do not provide RAW files; specific software is required to view RAW files that most people likely won't have anyway, but it's also not a true representation of my art and is an unfinished product.
Q: Do you have any location recommendations?
A: I have spent hours upon hours scouting out locations all over the valley and beyond! I'll provide a list of options (based upon your needs and vision) approx. 7 before the session so that you know I'm providing locations that are beautiful at that time with no surprises.
Q: I / We have never had a photoshoot before, what do we do?
A: Relax! I'm here to help every step of the way. After reserving your date you'll receive preparation tips and a style guide to assist with wardrobe. You can send me photos of wardrobe if you have any doubts and contact me for any questions that pop up. We'll choose the perfect location, if you don't already have somewhere in mind, and then you just need to show up ready to have a good time! I'll guide you through the session process with "posing" tips to keeps things flattering, prompting to encourage natural interaction and emotions, and of course some "horseplay" to keep it light and keep everyone having fun. I'll probably throw out a few dad jokes along the way too, just chuckle and don't judge me too hard!
Q: Do you have your own studio?
A: I don't own a studio, but I have a few great options for rental spaces that can be utilized and the fees are already included in your investment.
